Red Face

Distance: 3 miles.

Successes: Running past the SW corner of the park to the concrete, then a walk. Working to build up running 2 miles straight again.

It was much sunnier and a bit warmer today, though not uncomfortable. I wonder if I scare some people with how red my face gets. I used to be embarrassed, but these days I don’t really care what people think about it - I just keep on keepin’ on.

I think the best think for me to eat the night before a run is plenty of vegetables and some protein. Maybe a little bit of carbs.  Dinner last night was well-balanced: goat cheese and bread (just a little), black bean salad, lots of CSA salad greens. Water. Fruit for dessert. No sugar.

The run was strong today - am loving this 3 mile distance.  Looking forward to conquering 4 miles. One month to the day until the race!

Next run: Saturday, 4 miles.
